  After being in Champion for 4 years, I'm going to give my full experience. In 1st grade CLA, my teacher was very nice however she moved to California. I don't speak mandarin at my house. If you don't already know mandarin you will not survive in the usual classes. You don't even learn mandarin. You just recite poems and write characters 100 times. I've completely forgot all 4 years of my Chinese education. The teachers are either boring or mean. One of my teachers in CLA, (I forgot her name- Ms Gong?Don't take my word for it though) was so disrespectful to everyone in my class. She wouldn't let any of us talk before class or after class, so it was constant forced silence. One time everyone had to read a story in Chinese, one girl had to read a paragraph of Chinese. And I had to read a whole page! I argued how its not fair that we all didn't read the same passage.Then she got so annoyed that she asked me if my parents actually liked me? IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE CLASS. She obviously hates my class. She was also my driver and once got pulled over by the police- with us in the car! Last year (I was not there) my little brother told me a windshield wiper fell off the car so she made my 8 year old brother go out and pick it up and she left another 8 year old completely left alone in the car! Although the owners are very nice, and the art program is the only thing I like about Champion, the education part of it is terrible. If you actually want your kid to learn mandarin, I would not suggest this place.
